Welcome to the website, “Remote Sensing in the Philippines: documenting remote sensing activities in the Philippines from past to present”.

As the title implies, this site attempts to document remote sensing activities in the Philippines starting from its introduction in the 1950s (or sooner) to the present time. Documentation of these activities are currently being done, and will be posted very soon.

Everyone is enjoined to send contributions in the form of articles, pictures, images (remotely-sensed, aerial photos, etc) or personal experiences and insights in the development of remote sensing science and technology in the Philippines.

This site is being maintained by Engr. Jojene R. Santillan of the Research Laboratory for Applied Geodesy and Space Technology (AGST Lab) of the Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry & Department of Geodetic Engineering (UP TCAGP & DGE), University of the Philippines, Dilman, Quezon City.
